Garlock BLUE-GARD Style 3700 Gaskets
Garlock BLUE-GARD Style 3700 Gaskets
Garlock's BLUE-GARD Style 3700 gasketing material is a compressed, non-asbestos gasket made from aramid fibers with an EPDM binder. These gaskets drastically lowers emissions levels, fluid loss, and energy consumption.
The BLUE-GARD Style 3700 gasketing material has an excellent sealability with an improved torque retention. It drastically lowers emissions levels while simultaneously cutting operational costs through reduced waste, maintenance, stocked inventory, fluid loss and energy consumption. The BLUE-GARD Style 3700 is most commonly used in water, saturated steam and inert gas applications.
While not a preferred choice for steam service, BLUE-GARD 3700 is successful when it is adequately compressed. The minimum recommended assembly stress is 4,800 psi and preferred assembly stress is between 6,000-10,000 psi. Using a gasket thickness of 1/16" strongly preferred. During installation, ensure that you retorque the bolts/studs prior to pressurizing the assembly.
